I note that Peter's father Dick, is described in the article as "violent". However, in an ABC National Broadcast of Life Matters - "Growing Up with Peter Allen as the Boy Next Door", (aired Friday 11/Sept/2015), Cassie McCullagh, describes her mother's and 2 uncles experiences playing with Peter Allen from the age of 8 to 14, when Peter and his family moved to Tenterfield after Peter's dad had shot himself. Through the broadcast Peter's dad, Dick, is repeatedly described as very kind, a good bloke and someone who was proud of Peter.
