Correct name of station???.[edit]

In 2006 this station was renamed from Grafton railway station to its current name Grafton City railway station on the basies that this is the official name of the station. However it is noted that since 2005 in all timetables it has reverted to Grafton railway station. There is also another article on an earlier station Grafton railway station, New South Wales. I believe that the name of this article should drop the City from its name as it is no longer used but because of stations with similar names I ma not sure what name should be used. How about Old Grafton railway station for the other one, and Grafton railway station for this? There's a few cases where that's been used, like Bunbury in WA. The Drover's Wife (talk) 06:48, 4 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Frietjes User:The_Drover's_Wife Thank you for your advice. The move of the old station was successful = however by mistake I moved the current station to Grafton railway station. New South Wales (full stop instead of comma) and then when I tried to move it to the correct name with comma it was refused probably because there is a redirect in place. How can I now get out of this? I have also found a number of links which should go to the current station but go the old station instead because of its name. I will sort that out. I have put in a request at WP:RM for someone to fix it - as an uncontroversial technical move it should be done within a few hours. The links that now go to the wrong station will need to be fixed by hand or with tools I don't know how to use. :) The Drover's Wife (talk) 13:46, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your help - it has now been sorted out. I have corrected two links so far. But it appears that most links which went to the "old" station and now go to the new station, should have gone there in the first place but because of the name they were never picked up. I will go through them in detail later on. Fleet Lists (talk) 22:35, 5 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
