Additions to article[edit]

The article is worthy of much improvement. Thorne was a well-known TV sports broadcaster and his turning up to the studio with a flamboyant perm is recorded as a moment in New Zealand television. After his parliamentary career he held local council roles in Onehunga, Auckland, Auckland (Region) and Nelson, New Zealand, then Christchurch and Queenstown, New Zealand. His later life was beset by family tragedies. He remains a prominent Queenstown man. The locking of the page is appreciated, but its expiry will enable further work on the article. Name suppression in court case[edit]

Grahame Thorne's name is suppressed in New Zealand regarding a prominent court case, but he has been named by overseas media.

Does this mean that it can be published in Wikipedia?

You're on very thin ice here. I'm not a lawyer and can't give you legal advice, but if you add such material you are liable to prosecution by the New Zealand authorities, should they be able to establish your identity. It would be safer for editors in other countries who have no intention of visiting New Zealand to make any such edits. The source would have to meet WP:RS by a large margin (not a minor newspaper or tabloid). I have removed your edit summaries because they reveal which court case you are talking about.-gadfium 05:48, 19 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
