GA Review[edit]

This review is transcluded from Talk:Grey Matters (Fringe)/GA1. The edit link for this section can be used to add comments to the review.

Comments[edit]

Plot[edit]

  1. ...and then her obsessive compulsive disorder started soon after. Replace "then" with "that".
  2. ...Newton has already learned what he needs to know and escapes. Olivia manages to stop their escape... "Escape" is used twice in a very narrow range. You could for example replace "their escape" with just "them".

Production[edit]

  1. ...it was Nimoy's third episode and consequently last commitment as a guest actor to Fringe... Replace "to" with "on".
  2. Remember to add (pictured) after the pictured person's name in the caption.

Cultural references[edit]

  1. I suspect Re-Animator is an adaptation of Herbert West-Reanimator?

Reception[edit]

  1. "Grey Matters" was watched by an estimated 6.33 million viewers in the United States. Add "In its original American broadcast on [date]," to the beginning, remove "in the United States" and replace it with "according to Nielsen Media Research".
  2. Remember to refrain from strong words like "love" or "hate" unless they are part of the review.
  3. Since John Noble is mentioned by full name in the Production section, you only need to refer to him by his last name the second time.
  4. Remember to italicize Fringe even when the texts are copied from reviews, and also remember to not italicize website names.

Lead[edit]

  1. Why is the first sentence in the plot summation written in past tense?
  2. There's an unfinished parenthesis in the second paragraph.

And that's pretty much it. There were no major problems at all, the article was a pleasure to read and when fixed, it will certainly be a worthy GA. I'll put the article on hold for seven days so that the changes can be made. Good luck! Queenieacoustic (talk) 18:08, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good, well done! The article Passes! Queenieacoustic (talk) 18:55, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Content needs suitable refs[edit]

There are many references to author H.P. Lovecraft and his short story Herbert West–Reanimator (where bizarre experiments center around the re-animation of dead tissue): Dr West (Jeannetta Arnette) is named after the story's main character Dr. Herbert West,[citation needed] the patient Stuart Gordon is the same name as the director of the 1985 film adaptation Re-Animator,[1] another patient named Deborah Crampton has the same name after an actress who appeared in that film, and the mental hospital is named after Lovecraft's story "The Dunwich Horror".[citation needed]
