Inclusion of external links in the list[edit]

Hello @Nomade040: I saw that you had reinstated items in the list that are external links. Unfortunately you didn't give a reason in your edit summary. I don't know if you're familiar with Wikipedia's guidelines on this? WP:ELLIST says "the lists themselves should not be composed of external links". Lists are intended for helping people navigate around Wikipedia, not to turn it into a directory of web links - see WP:NOTDIRECTORY. Please see WP:BRD for how to move forward from here. The list was filled with links to all kinds of stuff. Looked pretty arbitrary. Per WP:ELLIST, external links are not welcome, and the two internal links were not helpful. I removed the section. Chrisahn (talk) 22:25, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge into another article?[edit]

Per Wikipedia:Notability, I propose that this article be merged into another. 104.228.101.152 (talk) 04:54, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wouldn't it make sense to merge it into the page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Library_(computing) Andreas Fabri (talk) 15:51, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
