Article organization[edit]

I tagged the lead because it is not written per WP:LEAD and violates WP:NPOV and WP:PEACOCK. We are not trying to promote Booth, just write an encyclopedic article about her. That overlong quote should be placed later in the article, probably under Progressive Politics. The lead should describe her succinctly – "a civil rights activist, feminist, and political strategist" – and then summarize any other pertinent details mentioned in the article. The paragraphs in the article are also overlong and difficult to follow; please provide paragraph breaks. It's not clear why the Family section is sandwiched between her Career and Political Opponents and Critics; it should probably be moved up to the Early Life and Education section. Thanks, Yoninah. I'll correct these problems -- Delabrede (talk) 23:17, 9 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yoninah I have reworked the lead per WP:LEAD keeping WP:NPOV amd WP:PEACOCK in mind. Moved quote from lead to end of Progressive Politics. Broke up long paragraphs. Moved Family section up. -- Delabrede (talk) 19:05, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yoninah, I see your point about the reworked lead. I changed it to give only the key elements of the article. -- Delabrede (talk) 23:33, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@Delabrede: OK...but you also have to state what makes her notable. Yoninah (talk) 23:41, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yoninah: Another try. -- Delabrede (talk) 00:13, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! Everything's good now. Yoninah (talk) 00:24, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
