Cates vandalism[edit]

This keeps appearing in the article, but is untrue: "The principal is Patrick Cates, the first openly gay principal in Dallas County, TX."

can you verify it is not true?

Warehouse party info[edit]

There's a link to the ALOUD press release in the article, but here's another page with the same info, for verification purposes: "Congress Approves DC s Ward 4 Ban on Single-Container Sales" pdf version, html version. Lhall 05:11, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Paragraph on "undue influence"[edit]

It is appropriate if it's the truth, which it is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.184.116.59 (talk) 23:43, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The coaching carousel at HPHS is well-acknowledged within the community, among school board candidates and across the State. Cathy Bryce spearheads it. Jerry Sutterfield is the other puppet at the end of the parents' strings. Kids suffer. Take a look at the changes in successful coaches over the past five years -- including those who have won multiple state titles -- and you have to concede this is true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.114.232.114 (talk) 15:24, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I went to HPHS, and I know there's some questions to be answered. But a paragraph like that is not appropriate to WP.--YixilTesiphon TalkContribs 19:57, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding the POVed paragraph on undue influence. It's not hard to write things in a way that conform to NPOV policies, and it helps the article not to suck. I have placed a {{npov}} tag on the article until somebody else reverts it, as I've already reverted it twice. --YixilTesiphon TalkContribs 15:12, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For Deletion[edit]

Why is the "Undue Influence" still in here? Has it been verified in any matter? It should be removed until it is proved... Why is this still unresolved after 8 Months??

This just smacks of somebody's own political or personal views, like someone who came out on the wrong side of a school board meeting or such.... Msjayhawk (talk) 20:46, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You should not put this back in without sources....

Some members[who?] of the Highland Park community—including a candidate in the 2008 school board race[1]—claim that parents have an undue influence in the operations of the athletic department, especially in the girls' program. They claim that complaints to superintendent Cathy Bryce about coaches are often relayed to girls' athletic coordinator Jerry Sutterfield with the ultimatum that coaches be terminated. Complaints made by high-dollar donors to the district's "Mad for Plaid" campaign, according to complaints, take precedence over maintaining continuity in the coaching staffs.

State Titles Listing[edit]

It took a while, but I now have posted all 70 of Highland Park's Athletic State Titles. Indyjrg1762 (talk) 14:00, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

First undefeated season in football[edit]

After going over several schools state title finishes, I have found both Abilene (1923) & (1955) and Amarillo (1934), (1936) & (1940) both had undefeated seasons and were State Champs. Indyjrg1762 (talk) 22:18, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

COPYVIO[edit]

I have now removed all the copyright violations from this article. The WP:WPSCH will now be tasked with removing the massive amounts of content that are superfluous to the requirement for an encyclopedia. I realise that someone has gone to a lot of trouble to expand the article, but they should have read them first, and WP:WPSCH/AG. We have around 1,000 help pages on Wikipedia, they need to be read. Are we sure that the photos taken from The Park Cities: A Photohistory, Diane Galloway, Mar 1, 1989 are out of copyright? Or that she (or her publisher) has ceded the copyright? Has this been cleared with OTRS? Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 04:20, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
