Named after the magician?[edit]

Where did the name come from? The article could reference whether or not it is named after the famous magician Houdini. Canuckle 19:44, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Houdinisoftware.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

I'm deleting line #2, about it "being preferred"[edit]

The second line of this article, reads like this: "It is often preferred over competing packages, such as Maya or XSI, for pure visual effects tasks, as opposed to character animation". Contradictory sentence[edit]

Disputed information.[edit]

The article claims:

"These operators exist in the context called 'CHOPs' for which Side Effects won a Technical Achievement Academy Award in 2002."
