Irish Fiction Now - Stub[edit]

I've added a stub marker to this section as it seems very threadbare indeed. It needs a much more comprehensive account of contemporary Irish fiction writing. --Wastekiller 10:45, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oscar[edit]

Why no mention of Oscar Wilde? Colin4C 17:29, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Laurence "Stern"[edit]

Right after the first mention of Laurence Sterne, his name isn't spelled correctly, it only says "Stern"... Maybe someone should change it! ~~193.171.131.245~~ [03-26-2007]

J. G. Farrell: is he an Irish writer?[edit]

Isn't there a need for an explanation for J. G. Farrell's inclusion here, given that he wasn't born in Ireland, and appears to have only lived there intermittently? Isn't he a Liverpool-Irish writer like James Hanley and Gerald Hanley, rather than Irish?Rwood128 (talk) 10:56, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Prose fiction?[edit]

Wouldn't a better title be Irish prose fiction, given the ambiguity of the term fiction: "Fiction can be expressed in a variety of formats, including writings, live performances, films, television programs, video games, and role-playing games"? Rwood128 (talk) 16:35, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

On further thought it appears that this article takes "fiction" to mean novel, and an articles does exists on the Irish short story. All the same I don't think that there is a need for a further change (Irish novel), and there is the possibility of merging these two articles. Rwood128 (talk) 13:50, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
