Offer[edit]

Has Anyone attempted to take Jack up on his offer? more than 2/3s of PS3s are still on the shelves..Irashtar 08:19, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Penny Arcade had a strip on it: [1] --203.6.205.22 01:10, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not trying to be an apologist or anything, but if there are 1.4million units sold and 2million units confirmed shipped, isn't that a wee less than 2/3? --Sqrfrk 08:16, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nickname[edit]

The box in the upper right corner has "Other Nicknames" but never has just nicknames. This should probably be changed. Tommy11111 04:07, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request[edit]

Jack Tretton is no longer with Sony as of 31 March (http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/03/06/a-message-from-jack-tretton/) so could someone change "is the President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America" to "was the President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment of America" in the beginning of the article? Thanks. 75.111.180.174 (talk) 23:06, 8 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Done Trut-h-urts man (talk · contribs) changed it to "former president and CEO" and modified the article accordingly. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia! Mz7 (talk) 00:05, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"Jackie T"[edit]

Opening a discussion here regarding the repeated, often unsourced addition of Jackie T as a nickname for Tretton. As I see it, Jackie T is simply a slang-type informal largely used by fans in comment sections (See Google search results) and by Greg Miller and crew on the PS I Love You XOXO podcast. I have found no reliable sources that state explicitly that Tretton's nickname is Jackie T, nor anything that states he uses it personally. Nevertheless, I have moved the info to what I feel is a more appropriate reception section in the hope that that will appease everyone. The edits on the page over the last few days border on an edit war and I have no interest in being involved in one. Matt14451, please discuss here before making any further changes. Someone is going to have to offer a WP:RS at some point to even begin the discussion. Until then, this is a WP:BLP issue. If some such solid source is provided that this is what the subject commonly refers to himself as, and that it's not just silly fancruft, then we can start an editorial discussion. This is a biography for a senior executive, nto a gamer forum. Kuru (talk) 23:56, 29 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
