Comment by Trethsoc[edit]

"Reference 1 indicating that Alan M. Kent doubts that Maclean was descended from the Scottish Macleans should be checked as it may be a case of mistaken identity. I, Alan Kent, expressed such a doubt in the Cornwall Family History Society Journal, as indicated by reference 3." Unfortunately the link to the webpage which contained the Alan Kent account of John Maclean no longer works. When the contribution to the CFHS Journal has been checked this can be clarified.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 12:41, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. As a non-member of the Society I cannot get access to the Journal so I will remove the "M." assuming that Alan Kent was not the poet.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 12:58, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The link to Alan Kent's biography is available again.--Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 04:20, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling[edit]

This John Maclean is not usually referred to as John MacLean.--Johnsoniensis (talk) 16:43, 1 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
