– No indication that the brief entry for the decade-in-retirement archbishop represents WP:PRIMARYTOPIC over the combined prominence of three other men named "John Neill". The form "(archbishop of Dublin)" would be analogous to such forms as Michael Boyle (archbishop of Armagh), George Browne (archbishop of Dublin), Robert Fowler (archbishop of Dublin), John Gregg (archbishop of Armagh), William Magee (archbishop of Dublin) or Joseph Peacocke (archbishop of Dublin). As for the field hockey player, SR/OLYMPIC SPORTS lists him as "John Neill", rather than as "John W. Neill". — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 02:38, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support 1st and 2nd John R. Neill gets 382 views compared to only 65 for the archbishop and the footballer gets 52[[1]]. No comment on 3rd per WP:NATURAL. Crouch, Swale (talk) 11:34, 19 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support 1st and 2nd, nom makes a good case. Can argue the 3rd both ways; No objection to the move, provided the resulting redir is there I think it makes no practical difference, so even happy to be counted as a weak support rather than risk no consensus; In the absence of any objection let us just do it and move on.
