Change of name of an actor from the movie

The name of the actor who has played the role of Rajendra desai is “Lakshmisha” “Lakki” but It is stated as Laxmishyam "Lucky" as Rajendra Desai. Would really appreciate it if you could make a change. Inchara123 (talk) 20:45, 24 December 2018 (UTC)

Critical reception

Why is this section filled with reviews of each and every newspaper? This section needs to be trimmed down significantly to make it readable. 117.198.119.30 (talk) 17:15, 27 December 2018 (UTC)

I don't see a glaring problem with it. In fact, it's better than most critical reception sections in Indian film articles, because the contributors aren't robotically obsessed with logging ratings, and are instead focused on specific praise/criticism related to the important aspects of filmmaking like direction, acting, cinematography, etc. Compare it to Zodiac (film), which is one of our Featured Articles. If you have specific issues with the section, feel free to note them, but your blanket complaint seems way off to me. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:21, 27 December 2018 (UTC)

Budget: 50-80 crore to 40-50 crore. Media has been increasing budget every day after release. This might be due to the movie's success. Penocytosis (talk) 17:55, 2 January 2019 (UTC)

KGF budget

Hello sir budget of KGF is 80 crore, not 50 crore. it got the hype all over in karnataka because it was the first movie in kannada made on such a grand scale. why do you keep on changing the budget from 80 crore to 50 crore. everyone in karnataka knows the budget is 80 crore

here is the source - https://www.businesstoday.in/trending/box-office/kgf-chapter-1-box-office-collection-day-17-yash-film-makes-rs-198.5-crore/story/307620.html

here is another source - https://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/regional/yash-kgf-movie-budget-5475327/

the source you have provided was initial approximate when movie was being made, after the movie was completed the budget reached to 80 crore .so please change the budget — Preceding unsigned comment added by GARUDA BHARGHAVA (talkcontribs) 05:26, 8 January 2019 (UTC)

@GARUDA BHARGHAVA: When there is a disparity of opinion between sources that are generally considered reliable, how do you decide to choose one value over another? Blind faith? Personal bias? Wouldn't the smart and honest approach be to present the disparity as clearly as possible? When a film makes 101 crore and the next day a source reports that it made 102 crore, do you automatically assume the higher figure is correct, or do you reason that these are all guesses and so maybe speaking in absolutes is a pointless endeavor? I'm just curious, because you've left several "change these values" posts across a few talk pages. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:53, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
@Cyphoidbomb: sir, in that case, when you are updating the collections on this Wiki page, why can't you update the same collections in highest grossing Indian movies wiki page ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by GARUDA BHARGHAVA (talkcontribs) 10:34 8 January 2019 (UTC)
@GARUDA BHARGHAVA: This is not pertinent to this discussion, but quite simply, I have better things to do than obsessively update financial figures for films that are still in theatres, and I'm not the only person able to edit that article. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:26, 8 January 2019 (UTC)

KGF worldwide gross is still 230 crore, change it to 230 crore......

No, IP editor doesn't get to unilaterally decide what the official gross is. This is Indian cinema. All of the gross values are dubious. If two known sources have different opinions about the top limit, we should present the disparity, not try to figure it out ourselves. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:51, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

KGF is based on influential people's success

https://www.quora.com/If-KGFs-Rocky-really-existed-could-he-have-been-powerful-like-Dawood-Ibrahim-and-searched-by-Indira-Gandhi NOTE: I have not pasted the source to use it as a reliable one.

So according to this, Rocky is partly based on PM Modi, billionaire Ambani and Don Rajendra. However, Rocky's promise to his mum looks strongly similar to the Prime Minister's (formerly chief minister of an Indian state) promise to his mother. I think this should be added, to inform that the character is not wholly fictional. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.75.60.211 (talk) 19:46, 7 March 2019 (UTC)

It is appreciated that you didn't add this to the article as though it were fact. It would be nice to get analyses like this from reliable sources, but that's rare, since most of the Indian trades like to report on fluff than getting into the analysis of the film art form. If the above link inspires anyone to try to find information about this as published in reliable sources, the properly sourced results would be appreciated. Proposed merge of Rocky (character) into K.G.F: Chapter 1

Needless article sprawl and failure to establish standalone notability per WP:GNG. The entirely of this content can fit inside the main film article. Most of this content is plot that you'd find in the film description. The Development section is two sentences and the reception is a short paragraph. Far too little content to justify a content fork. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:53, 21 December 2019 (UTC)

Verification of sources

In the three sentences I've checked (1, 2, 3), most of the sources failed to verify the text. The content was added by an IP (Special:Diff/999332953). A verification, possibly for all sources, is necessary. -- DaxServer (talk) 14:18, 2 August 2021 (UTC)

The IP 122.174.56.108 (talk · contribs) has added massive content. I'm now wondering how much of it is verifiable. Any suggestions on how to handle this? Should I report on ANI or somewhere else for further help? -- DaxServer (talk) 14:26, 2 August 2021 (UTC)
