Expanded Edition[edit]

Same for Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1, I have added the tracks on the Expanded Edition. There still needs information about the composers and anything else. --Bahamut 11:05, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • These lines in the expanded edition section make no sense whatsoever:
M - 1,2 also appears on the Dr. Stein.
M - 3 also appears on the I Want Out.
M - 4,5 also appears on the Treasure Chest

GammaRay - cover?![edit]

Could you really call it a cover when GammaRay plays "I Want Out"...? I mean, Kai wrote the bloody song himself. I don't see it as a cover when the composer himself plays his own songs. Or am I wrong? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.217.62.150 (talk) 23:23, 2 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

  • You know, I've always wondered the same thing too. Very similar to Lemmy's Motorhead playing the song Motorhead when he had originally written the song for Hawkwind... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xanofar (talkcontribs) 23:22, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think those two are exactly comparable instances. Yes, it is the member of another band releasing a version of a song he wrote for another band but the instances of "which version is better recognised" is slightly different. Lemmy not only released a different version of the song, that version is also better known (I don't know how many people even know who Hawkwind is) and he even named his band after it. Compare to Kai who later recorded a version of the song which is so much more recognised as a Helloween song. Yes, it isn't really a cover in the sense that it's being performed by the guy who wrote it, but it is because it is played by a different band.
You could in the same sense perhaps ask is Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter an Iron Maiden cover of a Bruce Dickinson song or vice versa? Bruce's version came first but Maiden's is more recognised. -TheHande (talk) 19:00, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Poor Quality[edit]

The writing on this page is fairly low quality. It sounds much more like a typical album review left on Amazon.com than a wikipedia article, to be honest. Also, I Want Out is about Kai leaving the band, Weikath confirmed that in an interview, he notes that he isn't sure where Hansen got the phrase "I want out" as that it is not "a very german phrase", he suggests a possibility as to where it is he got it from but isn't sure. Also, Kai Hansen left due to the lack of privacy and he was tired of the constant touring involved. It is possible he also left because "it was not his band", but those are the disclosed reasons stated by Weikath. Xanofar (talk) 23:28, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I rewrote the second opening paragraph (now split in two) and generally tried to improve the tone. It's still not very good but I tried cleaning up a few redundant pieces of info. The original paragraph was okay in the sense that it covered pretty much the whole album but some comments like "Save Me has a very different chorus" just sounded really silly when read out loud. -TheHande (talk) 18:54, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

name[edit]

Anyone have any idea why ", Pt. 2" is used? The official German name is "Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part II", as can be seen here. I don't want to move it in case I'm missing something here, as this is VERY far from my area of interest or expertise. --Muhandes (talk) 22:49, 4 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
