Incorrect placement of POV tag[edit]

Why is the POV tag on this talkpage? ----moreno oso (talk) 23:23, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see what the Schools WP wrote above but I must be missing the POV stuff. Now, Refimprove I agree with. It needs more references. ----moreno oso (talk) 23:27, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Philip Velasco[edit]

Only one entry in the notable alumni has references. This one shouldn't need one. 216.48.157.94 (talk) 17:58, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Really, they all should! Everything on Wikipedia must be verifiable (WP:V). Verifiability is grounded in reliable sources (WP:RS). It is a typical convention on lists of notables, that a list entry needs to have an article of its own to establish its notability, and a reference to establish the connection of the individual to the current article. Typically, editors will let it slide if there is one or the other, but if you want to be confident that your edits will have staying power it is best if they have both. You stand a chance of getting Velasco on your list if you provide a reliable reference; that would be good enough for me. Thanks for your help in improving this article!
