[Untitled][edit]

The 11th century mention in La Vita Nuova of the name Vanna is the first in recorded history.

Changed this, since it looks to have been a mistake by the original author; Dante wasn't even alive yet in the 11th century. Presumable 13th century was meant and the author became confused or made a typo.

Citations[edit]

Could someone please find some citations for this article. I don't do Italian, Literature, or Dante but I really would prefer some kind of detailed citation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fibinachi (talkcontribs) 16:11, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Star Trek[edit]

Is it really necessary or appropriate to have a synopsis of an episode of Star Trek? Surely the reading of the VN in that episode is worthy of one line at most, otherwise we have to reference every show/movie that has some reference to the text...and Dante's own page would be full of every single mention of his name in modern culture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.92.40.49 (talk) 13:52, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are perfectly right. I have pruned it. Goochelaar (talk) 16:25, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dylan refers to VN in his most famous post-crash song, Tangled_Up_in_Blue, but IMO it has no business cluttering up this article. I hate the childish cultural references in WP. 70.228.36.206 (talk) 03:19, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hrabal[edit]

Bohumil Hrabal's novel, "Vita Nuova," has just been translated into English. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.126.32.106 (talk) 16:07, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

***[edit]

"L'una appresso de l'altra miriviglia". Maraviglia is the right diction.
