Trophies[edit]

Anyone sure on this? I've yet to see any confirmation of trophy support from magazines or web sites. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.159.190.51 (talk) 22:20, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong citation[edit]

This game got 52% from Play UK, not 90%. Source: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps3/lair?q=Lair —Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.203.12.243 (talk) 21:43, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, Play US gave it a 90 (also their magazine doesn't exist anymore), but the vg review template uses the UK version. They are completely separate entities. 72.5.59.138 (talk) 19:52, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Graphics[edit]

I noticed that the Graphics section was completely cut-out in an edit. Should I restore them? I think it's worth putting onto this article.....--Edson88888 20:14, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Worth it? It was propaganda! Not even the blockbusters Crysis og UT3 have a graphics part. If it should be restored it have to undergo a complete rewrite. Who cares if it has "dynamics lights" which every single game nowaday has dynamic lights a allmost all the other things also.Psykocyber

Citations[edit]

Where did you get the release date from? I see no citations. 222.153.11.156 04:19, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/lair/index.html Post it on there if you like. I am too lazy to learn how to do that properly.24.84.108.255 18

The game can be played with one hand[edit]

The game is based around the motion-sensitive controller, and even if it cannot be played with one hand in the traditional grip, it can still be done. 222.153.59.41 07:14, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Technically I can play Street Fighter 3 with one hand. That doesn't necessarily make it a one-handed game. ;) Cheers, Lanky TALK 18:26, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't want to know how you guys know that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 219.90.251.148 (talk) 11:58, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you said it yourself. Though it's possible to play it with one hand, you have to hold the controller a different way and, really, why do you need just one hand anyway? A bit too excited about the graphics perhaps? Machine758 20:44, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stub[edit]

I did some cleanup and improvements on the article although its stub. If anyone could add anything, it would help improve this one.

liers[edit]

it is not rated "M" it is "T"

Do you have a source for that?--84.131.77.235 14:44, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The box art. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.203.169.124 (talk) 15:30, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rating[edit]

Could someone verify the information on the rating and please give a source? I can't believe ESRB is giving it a "Mature" rating. I want to make a "citation needed" tag, but I don't know how to.--84.131.77.235 14:41, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's easy man, go to their site, www.esrb.org and look for lair... ... yeah it go T for Teen

Is it true this game got a 5.5?[edit]

I was on a game site, and they were making it a meme to say 5.5 because EGM (I believe) gave this game a 5.5. They even went as far as to Photoshop the cover of the game and make it say "Fail." Anyways, is this true or what? Link's Awakening 05:54, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well I listened to a podcast with Insomniac and Juliam Eggrebecht, the President of Factor 5, and I think he said he talked with EGM about it and they apologized or something. I would wait until the final version though. But I usually wait until sites like Game Rankings and Metacritic have all the reviews posted because it usually gives you an idea of the game. EGM is usually pretty harsh on their reviews and Play Magazine never comes across a game they don't like, they usually never have a game that gets below Seven out of 10. You should listen to the most recent podcast on Insomniacs site, it might help you understand it a little more. Starwarsrulez 07:34, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If one looks up the game on the EGM site they say the average score is 8.1, which is really confusing since it totally contradicts the review on the mag. 12:18, 20 August 2007 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.45.15.164 (talk)

I wou8ld give it lower, iwassicked for the game, it real really really disapointed, i thot the controlls would at least be barable, im probably gonna take it backif they let me or sel it to gamestop....very disapointed :( —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.177.108.106 (talk) 23:02, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Graphics part - just a commercial[edit]

The graphics part should be changed to something more neutral. Like, of course the game takes advantage of the PS3 hardware, since it is a PS3 game! "Progressive Mesh - This allows an intensive amount of detail to be placed upon vast number of objects, both up-close and far away. " intensive amount of detail? Not true Wikipedia style (14:27, 31 August 2007 (UTC)) User:Psykocyber

I agree. Perhaps it should be shortened to list some of the buzzwords that are there, but remove the definitions? Some of the things mentioned in the graphics section aren't even significant in this day and age. --72.43.103.251 19:25, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Weird wording[edit]

"Aggressive Asylian leaders are leading in to the path of the inevitable after the Mokai launch a surprise attack against them from the rear."

This sentence (the beginning) makes little grammatical/syntactic sense (neither can I be certain what it is supposed to say and fix it, as I don't know the game). Ingolfson 02:30, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PEGI rating[edit]

Does anyone know the PEGI rating of the game? Machine758 20:45, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not listed on the PEGI site so they are either in the process of reviewing it or waiting for it to be submitted to them. - X201 12:00, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot synopsis[edit]

The game has been out for a while,so should there be a plot part of the artical. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.226.24.105 (talk) 17:33, 28 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Recall Notice in UK?[edit]

I live in the UK, and I work in retail. This game was due to be released here on the upcoming friday but I've just read a notice in tomorrow's daily bulletin that our stores are recalling the game and it will not be released on friday. I've tried to look on the internet but there are no details. Does anyone know why a recall might be in place? Has anyone else received this information from another UK retail establishment? Obviously I can't provide proof at this stage because the news has been distributed within an internal daily electronic noticeboard. Vikki-Lea 19:23, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I work at Woolworths and I remember exactly what happened at our store. It was released and debuted at number one, but the following day it came up saying it had to be removed from sale pending further action (when we tried selling one). They were all just sat in the drawer until the next week we got the new chart list, and it had dropped out, and we were told to send it back with the usual EUK returns. It was probably recalled because of the extreme negative feedback reported in PAL regions regarding the control system and the SIXAXIS controller. But, as it says in the main article, Sony have issued a patch. Still a major dent on what was meant to be the PS3's best game ever, don't ya think? Unconfermed statement[edit]

I removed the following standalone statement after unsuccessfully trying to find said article on GamePro:

GamePro listed Lair as number 8 of top ten worst games of 2007. The list featured the box being burnt by matches.

You can add it back if you can reference it. —Voidxor (talk) 04:17, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

Removed the Japanese title from the article. Since it's a German game, I fail to see how it was relevant. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.90.188.249 (talk) 16:39, 13 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
