Should this article exist?[edit]

I'm seriously asking, because raids in Jenin happens almost every day, literally, they occured 3 days in a row now and they occured probably more than 20 times in the last 6 months. every time IDF is storming to arrest Palestinians it encounters gunshots and resistance.

Just because it is a common phenomenon does not mean this article lacks a right to exist. Given the overlap with the 2023 Israel–Hamas war, it increases the notability of these clashes because they are happening in the context of a war. Based on your argument, literally every article about clashes in Jenin should be deleted (January 2023 Jenin incursion, June 2023 Jenin incursion, July 2023 Jenin incursion, etc.). The precedent from these articles indicates that this article has a right to exist. AmericanBaath (talk) 21:11, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think there is a "storming of Jenin" event that will go down in history as such. Clearly a POV creation and should be deleted. Debresser (talk) 09:05, 15 October 2023 (UTC)editor is topic-banned from the ARBPIA topic area[reply]
More refs were just added after a literal Google search for the event. Stop claiming “POV” creation. The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 15:45, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Such events occur on weekly basis. It's very unclear why there was a need to write an article about this specific event. It has no importance and could be mentioned fully (a single line) in the under the matching paragraph. I oppose this article. Lilijuros (talk) 12:22, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Move to October 2023 Jenin clashes[edit]

There have been several clashes in Jenin in the past few days prior to the storming and this article's scope should include all of them. As such, it makes sense that this article should be moved to October 2023 Jenin clashes or possibly October 2023 Jenin incursion (in line with January 2023 Jenin incursion, June 2023 Jenin incursion, and July 2023 Jenin incursion). AmericanBaath (talk) 15:35, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am unable to verify this attack in Jenin as described, needs English language sources. At the moment I am leaning delete for this article.Selfstudier (talk) 10:20, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Very odd how a Google search of “Jenin attack” and “Jenin storming” brought up multiple sources, including English sources which I just cited in the article. Very odd indeed how you couldn’t verify the attack, when I just did with English sources. The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 15:47, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I try to keep track of all these events at the IP timeline article. When I reviewed the article I recall it saying 12 persons killed cited to an Arabic source. I tried to confirm that but was not able to and still can't. So nothing strange here, other than your assumption of bad faith on my part. Selfstudier (talk) 12:38, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Belligerents[edit]

As of 2:30 AM UTC + 3 the Al-Qassam Brigades,Al-Quds Brigades and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades all announced their operations in Jenin and their respective successes including injuring several (7-9) and killing 2. Israeli Ambulances have arrived and as more information releases I will properly update this so that we can further benefit this article. Casualties on infobox[edit]

Add "2 killed" for civilian casualties due to the Israeli airstrike on the mosque. AmericanBaath (talk) 00:25, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Merge into new page[edit]

I propose that this article and October 2023 Tulkarm raid be merged into a new article titled Israeli incursions into the West Bank during the 2023 Israel–Hamas war. Even though these Israeli incursions could be notable this article is currently in a pretty inferior state. Super Dromaeosaurus (talk) 11:22, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Support: The material is scattered as it is, and it's all really just part of a continuum of violent raids in the West Bank at this point - to the extent that individual raids are far less prominent/notable. Iskandar323 (talk) 11:49, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support There are a few that could go in such a new page. Selfstudier (talk) 11:53, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support Thanks for proposing this. Pg 6475 TM 20:25, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What happened to Israeli incursions into the West Bank during the 2023 Israel–Hamas war? That looks like an important article. Irtapil (talk) 03:23, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Based on the clear consensus here, I've created the proposed combined page because events are getting well ahead of these stubs and the skeleton needs erecting so that it can be updated. I've left the existing pages as is for the moment to ensure that I've copied everything that everyone thinks is useful, with no prejudice against anyone boldly redirecting the two children (effectively completing the merger), as and when they see fit. Support. More useful for readers. Marokwitz (talk) 08:08, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
