Change in rating

I changed NC-17 to X in the description. The NC-17 rating didn't come into effect until later that year. I did a paper on the history of the MPAA for a college paper, so I'm pretty familiar with the history of the ratings system. (unsigned post)

This is true, I checked [1] the NC-17 rating didn't start until September 1990, several months after this movie came out.--CJ 05:53, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

TCM: The Next Generation actually canon?

In next generation Leatherface has a brother named W.E. Sawyer, could it be the same guy mentioned here? User: Lord ciron 2.0

No. Just ignore the events of the 3rd and 4th movies. They have no connection to the 1st two films, and Leatherface gets a different family in the last two movies (of the original series that is.) The original sawyer family consisted of Leatherface, Chop Top, Drayton, Nubbins, and Grandpa. Then in TCM 3, its Leatherface, Eddie ("Tex"), Tinker, Mama, and the little girl (Leatherface's Daughter) and then, in The Next Generation, it's different again: Leatherface, WE, Vilmer, Darla, and Grandpa. I say fuck TCM 3 and fuck The Next Generation because they never happened, the families in those films never existed, and everyone in the Sawyer family except for Chop Top is dead; Grandma and Great-Grandma died prior to the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Nubbins got ran over, Chop Top got locked up in a mental prison, and the rest of the family along with Lieutenant Enright got blown to bits. As for the Hewitt family, that's a different story. But you get the point, right? 76.184.174.20 02:20, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Also, nobody in TCM 4 is addressed by the last name of Sawyer. The narrative from Leatherface says that W.E. Sawyer was executed, whereas W.E. from TCM 4 is alive and well in the year 1996, so they cannot possibly be the same person. --Brian Kurtz (talk) 21:04, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Requested move

I request that this film article be moved to Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, because that is the official title, according to New Line Cinema's official website [2], and the film poster and most film sites, have The in the title. --EclipseSSD (talk) 18:19, 24 August 2008 (UTC)

I see no problem with this move. LA (T) @ 21:45, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
