weregerbil, just because you've never heard of them, doesn't mean they are not famous. All of the people you deleted had links showing who they were.

Mascot Discrepency[edit]

According to the Leesville Student Handbook for 2006-2007, the mascot for Leesville High is the Lions, where the Pride is the nickname of the school. Could the handbook have the wrong information?

In case no one has ever been to our football games or the pep rally, the mascot is one dude dressed up as a lion so I'd say our mascot is a lion.

And the mascot is the Pride, unless they changed it since 2001.

I'm guessing someone from the football team edited this article.

  • When I attended the school in 1999, I believe the mascot was the Lions and the nickname was the Pride (a pack of lions or the noun/verb. I also remember, as my mom volunteered at the elementary school, either the mascot or nickname of the elementary school being the Paw Prints. OptimumCoder 18:53, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought it was the lion pride? I was LRMS class of '93 and voted on the mascot. Once we settled on lions, the plan was for the elementary to be the cubs and the high school to be the pride. It doesn't make a lot of sense for both schools to have the exact same mascot. (And in case anyone's wondering, the other choice was "Leesville Lighting").

Anyone have a photo of the front of the school?[edit]

It would be nice to have a photo of the school (and a nice fact chart/table) at the top of the page. OptimumCoder 19:02, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Columbia Scholastic Press[edit]

Trying to fact check this article, I could not find reference to Leesville's placement in the Columbia Scholastic Press contest. It does not seem that the contest offers any "gold medal" by that name; they have a gold crown and a gold circle. Leesville does not seem to appear in the 2006 or 2004 list of gold crown recipients or in the list of gold circle recipients. I've tagged the fact as needing a source in the hopes that somebody can clarify this situation. Moonriddengirl 14:26, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Shield.jpg[edit]

Image:Shield.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
