Confusing[edit]

What is the relationship between the Letter of Majesty and 1611 Attack of the Passovians?

To my knowledge, Rudolf II had been coerced into signing the Letter of Majesty and wanted to take revenge on the Bohemian Protestant nobles for it. (They had helped him in the war against the Ottomans and felt he should accept their religion.) His alliance with the Passovians was via a young noble from there who wanted to gain status and favor with Rudolf who was also Holy Roman Emperor.
