1905 league playoff[edit]

Just wanted to point out that it looks like the above game - which was played at Hampden to decide the league title so obviously a major match - has not been included in the stats, i.e Alec McNair shows 583 league games and 640 in total (as per Fitbastats) but played in the playoff game. So it should definitely be 641 total, although I'm not sure the playoff should count for the league games as it was an 'add-on'. McMenemy and Hamilton scored in the game. Source for the lineup [1].

PS I think the player articles should also be looked at in this regard, McNair's total in the summary is 640, obviously this should include the playoff and I also feel it should include the Glasgow Cup games, it's not fair to include Glasgow Cup on the all-time list as it became a bit of a joke but in his day it was quite a prestigeous competition (looking at the lists, you don't see the top players of that era being rested for the Glasgow Cup games very often), so in his own article I think it would be correct to include those matches in the totals. Either that or the text should be amended to say 'total of 641 games in major competitions' as the grand total would include the Glasgow Cup. I will be adding the Glasgow Cups to his honours list at some point today.Crowsus (talk) 10:35, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Good spot re the play-off game; I've added the game (+ goals scored) into the figures on the list for the players who took part. ShugSty (talk) 13:30, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
