Merging Symbols of States of India into this article[edit]

No-brainer, really. India has territories as well as states, so "Symbols of Indian states and territories" is more inclusive and descriptive. Any content in Symbols of States of India that is not in this article should be merged here. "Symbols of States of India" looks like a plausible redirect to this article. --bonadea contributions talk 10:48, 25 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite[edit]

It all depends on the consensus of editors. I am not familiar with the topic and only edited in passing, so I will not make that call. I suggest discussing it here with those who reverted you. — JJMC89 (T·C) 05:00, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This rewrite attempt wiped out about 84 citations, which mostly seemed relevant and reliable, and improperly replaced these with a couple of WP:CIRCULAR and non-WP:RS citations, not to mention broke a few tables and removed plenty of apparently valid content without justification. In what way is the existing article improper or incorrect that it requires "rewriting" and what sort of changes were intended here? Dl2000 (talk) 17:44, 3 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reformating[edit]

Each Indian state has a section within this article. Each section has a table. Every table has a column named "Notes". However, in most cases, these "Notes"-columns are completely empty. As such, I have thought about deleting those columns, except for when they actually have something written in them. But before I went further I thought that I should write about it in the talk page. - VulpesVulpes42 (talk) 08:22, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I completely agree and there is a version at User:VarunFEB2003/sandbox 2 which is much better. The page is protected else I would have added the sources cleaned the tables and rewritten this article. Please see VulpesVulpes42 180.151.238.155 (talk) 11:27, 5 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
