Heraldry and vexillology

Flags of counties and municipalities[edit]

I am a bit "disturbed" (couldn't find a better word) by the different proportions used for these flags. Allthough I see that some of them have to have different proportions to fit the design. I also don't think the green in the flag of Oppland is quite right. Inge 22:41, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Proportion[edit]

I have reverted Roede's change of an SVG file with an inferior format. The SVG can and was corrected. Fry1989 ^eh? 23:22, 21 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Royal standard[edit]

SVG versions of the royal standards according to the original 1905 design by Eilif Peterssen are now available, see the discussion on Talk:Royal Standard of Norway and the sources in the article. The non-official versions from the Danish Salmonsens Konversatonsleksikon will be replaced by the correct versions. Roede (talk) 17:50, 31 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Status of Viken and Vestfold & Telemark[edit]

With the recent disestablishment Vestfold & Telemark on December 23 2023 and the Viken county on January 1st, 2024, they should be moved up to the "Flags of the former counties" section. I would do it myself if I knew how to edit articles. If someone is able to get on that, that'd be wonderful.

This also means that the counties of Vestfold, Østfold, Telemark, Akershus and Buskerud need to be relocated back down to the "Flags and Coat of Arms of the current regions" section.
