Great List! But...[edit]

I agree. I added a location column to the table and added this information for most of the plants. I'm not sure if it would be helpful to add city/region names to the table as well, so I left that out in my edit. -Burpen (talk) 18:16, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How can we denote plants which were previously cancelled but have since been completed?[edit]

While researching the locations of various plants in this list, I noticed that a handful of them (for example Perry Nuclear Generating Station, Pilgrim Nuclear Generating Station, and River Bend Nuclear Generating Station) were canceled at one point but are currently operational. The list makes no distinction between plants which were canceled and never completed and plants which were canceled yet later completed. I think this has the potential to be misleading to readers due to the title and description of the list. Also, if a given item in this list was merely an addition of a reactor to an existing plant, it should probably be denoted as such. The correct way to handle this problem is to rename the article to List of cancelled nuclear reactors in the United States, because the list contains only cancelled units not fully the plants itself. Best regards ChNPP (talk) 08:47, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely correct. The fact that some planned REACTORS were cancelled at Lake Anna, Virginia (for example) doesn't change the fact that the PLANT at Lake Anna is running strong.

Further, even though some reactors which were 'cancelled' in the past they are still 'planned' in the future... e.g. two reactors were 'cancelled' at Lake Anna but a new reactor is planned which would have capacity comparable to the two cancelled reactors combined. So while the expansion at Lake Anna may have been deferred or delayed due to economical and political factors it cannot be said be be cancelled. Either the 'cancellation was cancelled' or the project became 'uncancelled'... others can debate the semantics if they'd like but the fact is that these 'cancellations' may not be enduring.107.0.155.16 (talk) 19:29, 30 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Galina NPP incorrectly stated to have been an MSR[edit]

I edited that plant incorrectly listed to be an MSR while the article says it was planned to build Toshiba 4S reactors which are sodium-cooled
