I have read in the past of several mentions of a great library in ancient Antioch. I wish someone could find an online sourse for it so it could be included here and on the Antioch page. RE: Moving the Library of Alexandria[edit]

I have moved the list item regarding the Library of Alexandria from the "Africa" section to the "Greece and Rome" section because it was built and used during the Hellenistic empire of Alexander the Great. Otherwise many of the libraries listed under Greece and Rome would have to be put in illogical sections, such as the Imperial Library of Constantinople in "Asia Minor", "Anatolia", or "Turkey". University Vs Library[edit]

Since it is a list of Libraries, not a list of universities or study centres, I strongly doubt whether Nalanda & Taxila can be included in this list. There is no evidence suggesting these study centres had actual libraries. --99v (talk) 08:44, 4 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know about Taxila, but Nalanda seems to have been known to have a library. The page on Nalanda has a section dedicated to the library with the sources. ShellPandey (talk) 20:00, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
