Strabane Mast[edit]

Measurements[edit]

St John's Cathedral Limerick[edit]

Buildings under construction[edit]

I have removed this

Apart from the question of whether to list under spired, storeyed, or both, I don't think incomplete buildings should be listed, at least until they have reached their final height. Projects can get delayed or amended even after commencement. jnestorius(talk) 09:46, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am a little confused why we are linking to emporis on here. having checked out the other site - skyscrapernews - it seems to have over twice as many buildings listed for dublin for example.--Gothicform 21:44, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's a multi-storey hotel nearing completion in Limerick, on the Dublin Road. It's quite tall, where does it fit in I wonder?

Further radio masts possibly taller than 100 metres[edit]

What about the radio masts at following sites?

AM-Stations[edit]

How tall are the towers of these stations? Of which type are they? Please find out their heights and add them to the list!

Northern Ireland[edit]

Excuse my ignorance, but should not the buildings in Norhtern Ireland be on the United Kingdom page, and those in the ROI be on this page? Or is this just a ranking of buildings on the Irish landmass? TomB123 (talk) 20:22, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • The opening sentence of the article gives the answer to your second question. The buildings in Northern Ireland should indeed be on the UK page, provided they are tall enough to make the grade. There is nothing to stop them being on multiple pages. What list structure is by state? Into line with what others? There are lots of subcats of Category:Categories by country of the form "Foo of Ireland", with subcats "Foo of the Republic of Ireland" and "Foo of Northern Ireland". I don't see that as a problem that needs fixing; if you do it needs to be raised more generally than here. jnestorius(talk) 12:12, 21 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Montevetro Building[edit]

Another site [1] gives the height of this building as 60m (rather than 67m). Does it use a different definition of the building height? Also, there are photographs of it there but I don't think we can use them? (I removed the photograph on the page because it was the of the wrong building). Spired buildings[edit]

I don't agree with merging the separate lists of spires and storeys. The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat distinguishes these, and so does the general public. jnestorius(talk) 22:38, 29 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Metro Hotel in Ballymun[edit]

Formely known as the Days Inn, this is a high rise building which has got little attention since it was built around 2007 (odd how a building this tall has recieved little scrutiny. It's hard to miss it). 15 stories and by my crude trigonometry estimations on Google Street View (pretty geeky I know) it comes to about 55 metres. But it could be a bit more than that. St Peter's Church Drogheda[edit]

St. John's Spire, Tralee[edit]

Co-ordinates[edit]

Hi all. Some of the co-ordinates on the page are wrong. Today when I was editing I found 'Beal Wind farm' is actually in Kerry, not Wicklow as previously stated. And the co-ordinates for 'Beam Wind farm' bring you to Donegal, not Kerry as previously stated. Maybe a few got mixed up along the way. Ridiculopathy (talk) 13:06, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Poolbeg[edit]

On the Poolbeg Generating Station page it says "The thermal station chimneys completed in 1971.." whereas here it says they were built separately in 1970 and 1978. Anyone know which is correct? Ridiculopathy (talk) 21:42, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why are churches first?[edit]
