List[edit]

This list is alphabetical by first name and should be last name! Put it on my infinite to-do list!

I fixed this. Please proof my work -- with the game titles mixed in I had to do the sort by hand. Coll7 07:23, 7 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There's something we need to do about this list. There are a few composers listed here that either have no games he/she is credited for, or has one too many (Allistar Brimble is a fine example). Also, some credits appear to be incorrect (I thought Sean Callery did the music for 24: The Game, not Jonathan Williams) or non-notable (I just removed an entry of somebody who sung the title song to some Final Fantasy game. If we're gonna do that, how about I throw in every singer who's song a song in a Sonic game?). This page is looking alright, but some improvements need to be made. -TonicBH 15:27, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Where is Michael Hoenig ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.250.126.58 (talk) 19:20, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Existing lists/resources[edit]

Here are a couple of existing resources at our disposal to help fill out the list further:

Please add more resources to refer to, and thanks. - Liontamer (talk) 15:15, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wally Beben (aka Hagar)[edit]

Where is Wally Beben?? He has composed a number of soundtracks for various formats, most notably the epic Tetris theme for the Commodore 64! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.221.118.81 (talk) 18:30, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ugh...[edit]

This article needs a lot of work. It's out of date and has many errors, and isn't even consistent.

I'll eventually try to fix all of this, but would anybody like to help? Dissident93 03:34, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

Pruning list[edit]

Per a discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games and per WP:LISTPEOPLE/WP:CSC, I'm going to go through and move all of the names without Wikipedia articles to the talk page, with the content intact (in case there are people some believe to be notable per WP:NMUSICIAN or WP:GNG who people would like to create articles for). — Rhododendrites talk \\ 13:53, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Notes:

  • I linked all listed names to check for articles and followed links from bluelinks to make sure disambiguation wasn't needed. Redirects to articles about a subject other than the person or another of the person's musical projects were moved here and may represent the best candidates for restoring. So Jessica Curry and Chuck Doud are redirects where the article does not significantly discuss the person or their composing. Kyle Gabler redirects to World of Goo, a game for which he played many roles, but is nonetheless not about him or his composing.
  • I initially left Crush 40 because the page it redirects to discusses Crush 40 as a game music project...but then realized that the article it redirects to, Jun Senoue, is a person already on the list.
  • Steve Hillage is a musician, but the article doesn't look to mention game composition and the game listed redirects to an unrelated article. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 14:02, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Basil Poledouris - no examples given and nothing in his article looks to be about games — Rhododendrites talk \\ 15:16, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
