Undue weight on Tell el-Hammam as location?[edit]

@Arminden: I started looking at this page based on the issues with Tell el-Hammam. Note that the text linking Livias with Tell el-Hammam seems to be given undue weight--much of the discussion is based on proving it is Livias, though it is based only on one primary resource (from the current excavators of Tell el-Hammam). Could you critically review that section of this article? Thanks. rsjaffe 🗩 🖉 21:28, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

the best thing to do is to search for citation of the article. I aint an expert but google scholar way it 3 citation. Meaning insufficient peer disscussion co conclude any validity. Therefore instead of the lengthy text, best thing is to summarize the article summary, as is was done eg here: "...But a reconsideration of the ancient literary evidence, the line of the Roman road, and aqueducts and other structures discovered during the recent excavations at Tell el-Hammam 3 km to the NE strongly supports the latter as the administrative epicentre of Livias".
