Folk Metal

I think Folk Metal should be added describing the sound of this album. It is pretty prevalent on some of the songs on this album (Hargalaten being the pure folk metal song). If not just the guitar work, but also the instrumentation. Anyone disagree?

On all of these reviews, they mention this album having a folk element to the songs. Anyhow, anyone thats a true fan of the band, and has heard this album will know. In Flames are not a folk metal band, but this album specifically has elements of folk music in it mixed with melodic death. I don't think anyone who's actually heard this album can dispute that. Liner Art/Edition Question

Are there ANY versions of this album that have liner art which includes lyrics, album notes, etc.? I have the remastered edition with bonus tracks, and the liner art is quite literally a front cover, inside photo, and back cover. Rerelease Song Order Discrepancy

The order of Lunar Strain rerelease edition (Regain Records) with promo song versions is wrong. The order was changed from the original release, but was not changed on the back of the rerelease CD case.

The correct order is: 1. Behind Space 2. Clad In Shadows (this song is what throws everything off) 3. Lunar Strain 4. Starforsaken 5. Dreamscape 6. Everlost, Pt. 1 7. Everlost, Pt. 2 8. Hargalatan 9. In Flames 10. Upon An Oaken Throne 11. In Flames (1993 Promo Version) 12. Upon An Oaken Throne (1993 Promo Version) 13. Acoustic Piece (1993 Promo Version) 14. Clad In Shadows (1993 Promo Version)

This change of order is not obvious but becomes apparent when you compare the promo song versions with the other song versions on the CD. You can also compare the previous release of Lunar Strain (without the promo versions) with the rerelease (you can listen to tidbits on amazon.com) or compare the time of each song.

Although, there might be a Candlelight records rerelease with the original song order?

2003 re-release version

Was this version issued through Regain Records remastered like the one issued in 2005 by Candlelights USA? Dmiles21 08:44, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
