Would be nice to have a simple program in MIX! Perhaps one that generates the Fibonacci sequence or tests for primes? Sdedeo (tips) 03:25, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

It's not clear that Knuth invented it...

If he didn't invent it, he would surely have said so in AoCP vol 1. More mystifying is, why did he invent it? Is it a joke? 31.48.245.110 (talk) 13:38, 16 August 2019 (UTC)

Character codes and booting programs

Possibly should mentioning the character codes and booting programs? A description can also be found at [1]. Knuth's bootloader programs uses two cards, but here is my own MIX bootloader on one card:
