Notable alumni[edit]

Who is Scott Mullen, and why does he belong in this section? There is no article for him in Wikipedia. He does not appear on the web when Googled. If he truly is notable (i.e. of interest to readers worldwide), please write an article about him. Until then, he should not appear here. --Ken Gallager 20:47, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why does Travis Liles deserve to be in here? He ran for the Democratic Party's First Congressional District nomination and got four percent of the vote. I'm pretty sure that four percent came from the homosexual community. So according to your bar for MHS notable alumni all one has to do is volunteer for a few political campaigns and run for office and also have a view on abortion and gun control. If that is your standard then I'm sure there are a lot more notable alumni out of MHS. Scott Mullen is serving in the Navy in a time of war. He joined the Navy after 9/11. You can't get much more honorable then that.
Good point (except for the unnecessary slur against gay people). I've removed Travis too. As for Scott, how many hundreds of thousands of people nationwide are serving in the military? Are you saying each one of them deserves a Wikipedia article? Also, please sign your comments by using the four tildes. Thanks... Ken Gallager 14:25, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What exactly did I say that was a slur against gay people? I said they probably voted for someone who is gay? I have nothing against gay people. I am actually as liberal as they come. All I said is the votes for Travis Liles probably came from the Homosexual community. Please explain what was anti-gay about what I said.

And Yes I do think that everyone fighting in the military deserves a spot in Wikipedia. It seems like you don't appreciate service to one's country.
