Commercial language[edit]

The majority of this article is written in very commercial language. The same language could be used almost verbatim within a marketing brochure. Suggest that the article be revised to feature more neutral language and focus on facts rather than commendation. Specifically, "Marina Bay is set to be a 24/7 destination with endless opportunities for people to 'explore new living and lifestyle options, exchange new ideas and information for business, and be entertained by rich leisure and cultural experiences'" serves no purpose other than to boost the resort's image.--Tonicboy (talk) 09:42, 20 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

"I am not in favour of merging this page with Marina Bay as the reservoir deserves its own page and discussion. Also, there is a Reservoirs of Singapore wiki page that allows users to read about each reservoir and it will be very weird to have a reader get directed to the area of Marina Bay when he/she wants to read about a reservoir. This urban reservoir is unique and has interesting implications on how Singaporeans imagine reservoirs. I think it deserves it own page. Themechacat (talk) 08:11, 27 July 2016 (UTC)"[reply]
  •  Comment:: According to above user whom mentioned that "Marina Reservoir" deserves its own page & not to be confused with "Marina Bay, Singapore", the recent proposal about merging was actually failed and violated the original intention of request. Personally I will strongly oppose the merging since Marina Bay (planning area) and Marina Reservoir (watering system) are still two different things although they are connected to same place.--Gzyeah (talk) 11:27, 16 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Since there is a rough consensus here, I will go ahead and boldly remove the tags then. Thank you. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 14:58, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
