ANDERSON--Dr. Melody M., passed away on Sunday, January 10th. Melody was an accomplished psychotherapist who helped countless people during the course of her 20+ years in private practice. Melody held an MSW from Columbia University, a Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Yeshiva University and a Master of Arts in Psychology from the New School of Social Research. She was a National Woodrow Wilson Fellow and received numerous awards and honors for her work. Melody taught at Yeshiva University and lectured extensively. She was involved in formulating governmental social policy and was an advocate for the needs of women and the elderly. She co-founded the first licensed mental health facility in the U.S. focused on the psychological needs of midlife and older women. Melody loved traveling, antiques, music and the theater, among many other interests. Melody is survived by her husband Franz and leaves behind many beloved friends and family who will miss her dearly. Funeral Services will be at 11:30am on Wednesday, January 13th at Frank E. Campbell, 1076 Madison Ave., at 81st Street.

No, but there appears to have been some confusion about the two. Melody M Anderson was the psychotherapist who died in 2010, while Melody J Anderson is teh topic of teh article. As both work in similar fields, in NYC, with almost identical names, there has been some confusion. - Bilby (talk) 04:32, 3 September 2012 (UTC)

Model?

Recently came to my attention (purely at random) that Ms. Anderson was a Victoria's Secret lingerie model both before _and_ after her Flash Gordon role (~1979-1982). Worth citing? Sskoog (talk) 01:23, 19 December 2014 (UTC)
