Mindless (film)Mindless – "Mindless", the former title of the article on the film, was recently turned into a disambiguation page that fails to disambiguate any articles. Per WP:DABNOT and WP:DABDIC, disambiguation pages should not offer mere dictionary definitions, nor partial title matches. --Animalparty! • Oppose - There are many possible articles about states in which humans or other animals are described as "mindless". Coma, zombie, parasitic control, etc. These could be linked from the disambiguation page, as it is plausible people could be searching for that. In fact, the word "mindless" is mentioned a couple times in the zombie article, so per WP:DABRELATED it qualifies to be in the disambiguation.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 22:18, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Wikipedia is not a dictionary. We have articles on subjects, not words. Rocks and sea sponges also lacks minds, but we don't include them on mindless, nor Brainless. A mountain is big, but we don't include it on Big. Unless there are other topics called "Mindless", there is nothing to disambiguate. --Animalparty! (talk) 06:51, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support and delete the newly created Mindless. All of the entries on it are complete nonsense - "Mindless Hulk?" "Zombies?" Fails to understand WP:DISAMBIG which is about things titled Mindless, not entities vaguely associated with the word. SnowFire (talk) 23:57, 13 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Per User:In ictu oculi, no need to delete Mindless now that the songs were found, but I'm still not sold that the disambig page deserves to be the main title. The songs are all highly niche, a quick search shows that the indie horror movie never came out, the 2016 short doesn't appear notable, and the Swedish heavy metal band has had a notability tag on it for some time with absolutely zero references. While the notability of this film is not huge, it's way way more than the alternatives. SnowFire (talk) 17:51, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
With only 3 page views a day for either the Estonian film Meeletu and the Swedish band, I'm not sure it makes any difference. The Biehn-unreleased indie horror has a trailer out but no DVD at Amazon. Truth is nothing here screams Primary Topic for "Mindless" does it? In ictu oculi (talk) 18:08, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support this reversal of recent undiscussed move. There's no other article that could reasonably use the title. Delete the dab page. Station1 (talk) 07:20, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose, @SnowFire: whoever made the dab page didn't know what they were doing, but a quick search in en.wp indicates multiple subjects which I have added to dab. As for this 2006 Estonian telefilm, it might be better at Meeletu, as doesn't appear to have seen commercial release in UK or US. In ictu oculi (talk) 17:33, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Nice work! I think you misread the source on the horror film though - the ARTICLE was written in 2014, but there's no indication that the film actually came out. Seems like it's in development hell. SnowFire (talk) 17:51, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well it was done quickly. Thanks for spotting Michael Biehn on Mindless (2014 film). In ictu oculi (talk) 17:52, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - Now that Ictu's fixed it, I strongly oppose this move. There are now many actual things on the disambiguation page. Paintspot Infez (talk) 20:44, 14 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • As nominator, I now oppose as well, thanks to the additions of actual topics called Mindless, not simply terms containing "mindless" or tangentially about "mindlessness" --Animalparty! (talk) 22:02, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per above; the concerns of the support commenters have already been addressed.  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  21:02, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per WP:ASTONISH – there is no primary topic at this time. CookieMonster755 00:24, 20 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
