Moulsham Lodge?[edit]

I very nearly went to this school after failing my 11+ in 1985 (and hence failing to get into King Edward's Grammar School, also in Chelmsford). I seem to recall the it went by the name "Moulsham Lodge" in those days. Does anyone else remember this, or am I imagining it? 81.99.236.225 (talk) 01:04, 5 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removed from main page unsourced[edit]

The lack of teachers after World War II meant that classes had limited teachers, and no examinations held in 1950, as most of the boys were expected to go to work at local factories. Discipline was strict, and misbehaviour would mean being sent to the headmaster's office where he had two canes. Mr 'Jock' Hutchinson was the first headmaster. Hutchinson had previously been headmaster at Trinity Road School. As a keen boxer, Hutchinson held boxing sessions during lunch break. I removed this as was completely unsourced even though was fascinating, hence the reason I dropped it here, may jog memory and be sourced in a book or something.
