Improvements[edit]

I had to remove several pieces of information because it was either written in a promotional tone and/or lacked any kind of reliable sources to back the claim. Some policies to bear in mind when editing:

  • 1. WP:SEAOFBLUE and WP:OVERLINK: it's good to use wikilinks to connect related articles, but too many is a problem. Generally, don't link successive words and don't link common words like band or choir.
  • 2. WP:BOOSTERISM: of course we want our school to look good, but this isn't the place for that. Focus on information that is true and verifiable, not simply positive and/or promotional. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, so it should be neutral in its presentation of information. School websites are for promotion. Related to that is WP:NPOV, which talks about point of view.
  • 3. WP:N: Notable alumni lists are to list links to articles already on Wikipedia about people who attended the school. The section isn't to highlight successful alumni. If an article doesn't exist on them, they shouldn't be listed here no matter how successful they have been. If you think an article should be created, create it first before adding the name here.
  • 4. WP:RS: all information needs a reliable source, but truly outstanding claims especially need them from secondary sources. That goes for any kind of outstanding test results or other accomplishment. If they're that incredible, there's a good chance an outside group or news agency has covered it.

Any questions, please ask and/or take a look at the article guidelines for school articles. --JonRidinger (talk) 05:14, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
