I've initiated a discussion to convert the said redirect to a disambiguation page. Further details at Talk:Harry Potter universe#Narcissa, where your opinions would be surely welcome ;-). Regards, Snowolf How can I help? 07:22, 13 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Where Narcissa Was Born[edit]

This page states that Narcissa was born in Prattsburgh, NY, in the Genesee Valley. However, the Genesee Valley is over the hills and far to the west and the Genesee river flows north, and Prattsburgh's waters flow south into the Cohocton / Chemung / Susquehanna system, or north via the Keuka Lake and Canandaigua Lake watersheds of the Finger Lakes. I don't have citable references for this information, just local knowledge, but I hope that someone who's responsible for the information will verify it and correct the article, or at least that someone who's qualified to do so will excise the Genesee Valley reference. Thanks.

I've checked the source before and the article properly reflects what the source says. The likely discrepancy is probably something to the effect that back then when you were from somewhere, it might have been the general area and not exactly in a particular town (and given when this community was founded and she was born it would not have been much in the way of say a business district). So "from Prattsburgh" may have meant a few miles west, which looking at maps could put her in the valley. Plus, back then, they may not have had as easy access to maps that showed exactly which watershed they were in, and they may have assumed it was in the Genesee Valley. Whitman Massacre[edit]

This section refers to Natives and Americans - should it not be Native Americans and Whites?
