Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Navigation room be merged into Bridge (nautical). I think that the content in the navigation room article can easily be explained in the context of a ship's bridge, and the bridge article is of a reasonable size that the merging of navigation room will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. Additionally, "navigation room" does not appear to be an idiomatic term in English, based on a search of the nautical literature. Instead, it's clear that the function described occurs in a portion of a ship's bridge. User:HopsonRoad 03:46, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Support. While some ships had (have) separate chart rooms, it's more an exception than a rule, so it can be considered as part of the pilothouse. Now that we are at it, bridge wing has had a merge proposal since 2016... Tupsumato (talk) 09:41, 6 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Noting that the original editor has already moved content to Bridge (nautical) after I left word of this discussion and seeing no dissent here, I'll make the redirect. User:HopsonRoad 22:45, 7 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
