New Delhi TimesNew Delhi Times (film) – For disambiguation. The article about the film does get more page views than the article about the newspaper (about three times as many), but this may be partly driven by its location at the base name. Some of the links on Wikipedia for "New Delhi Times" are intended as references to the newspaper but are accidentally linking to the article about the film. I believe New Delhi Times should be a disambiguation page to avoid such problems. This may be a difficult judgment call, since the film is certainly notable, but the name of the film is exactly what people would expect as the title of an article about a newspaper. Indeed, the title of the film is the title of a fictitious newspaper in the film that later became the name of a real newspaper a decade later. Since the newspaper is a current publication, it will continue to receive ongoing interest as time moves forward, while the 32-year-old film continues to recede into history. —BarrelProof (talk) 16:38, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support, partial as the primary should be the newspaper and the film should have the descriptor. Randy Kryn (talk) 17:03, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Further information: According to the Wikipedia article about it, the newspaper has a print circulation of about 1 million (about half of which is for the English-language version), and its website has about 9 million page views per month. I think that indicates that it is sufficiently notable to expect it to remain prominent (and perhaps to further increase in prominence, as its circulation has grown over time). It bills itself as "India's Only International Newspaper" (in its web page heading), and its website is quite professional in appearance, although the amount of original content there seems somewhat limited. —BarrelProof (talk) 17:39, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support a dab page at the base term. I see no reason to consider the newspaper primary over the film at present. —Xezbeth (talk) 21:47, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support and move New Delhi Times (disambiguation) to baseline. In ictu oculi (talk) 22:22, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support and make primary the newspaper Having a disambiguation page at the literal title of the newspaper makes zero sense. I think the newspaper has the historical significance to be the primary topic regardless of pageviews.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 23:45, 20 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose The film receives almost four times as many page views over the last year. The film was also established before the newspaper and has won several awards, so it enjoys both prongs of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. -- Tavix (talk) 00:50, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support and move New Delhi Times (disambiguation) to baseline per above. Paintspot Infez (talk) 01:00, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support and move New Delhi Times (disambiguation) to primary. Too easily confusing otherwise since the newspaper actually came into existence 9 years after the film. -- Netoholic @ 03:06, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. Very easily confused, as "<Place> Times" is a standard format for a newspaper title, these things deriving from The Times. "New York Times" is a prominent example, see The Times (disambiguation) for a long list of others. New Delhi Times is particularly easily confused as it is a film featuring a fictional newspaper organisation whose name anticipated the actual newspaper. Keep the DAB page New Delhi Times (disambiguation) as the two topics are actually entirely unrelated, co-incendence of names notwithstanding. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 03:27, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support moving New Delhi Times (disambiguation) to New Delhi Times, to make it a dab page. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 18:24, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
