7.65x23mm revolver cartridge?[edit]

Is this the same cartridge as the old .32 S&W Long? The data here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.32_S%26W_Long

suggest that at the very least the exterior dimensions of the cartridge case are similar.

This cartridge would not have been my first choice for a firearm to be used as an emergency personal-defense weapon at close quarters, but I suppose low recoil is helpful when we are talking about a small, lightweight firearm intended to be used by persons who tend to lack great upper-body strength. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.61.164.169 (talk) 01:58, 27 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism[edit]

It'd be interesting to see some criticism from the pro-gun side too, because this wasn't exactly thought of as great in those circles either, big criticism being that it is priced well outside what any average Indian woman could ever hope to afford ($2000 would be considered very expensive for any small arm in most parts of the world), moreover that normal citizens have an extremely hard time being allowed a license for a firearm in India, meaning only the wealthy elite could hope to have it, not the average Indian who's at substantially greater risk of sexual assault.

Quality of manufacture is supposedly not very good at all (this is just hearsay though, hence why I'd figure a good source would be nice), and .32 S&W Long is a pretty meek performer for a defensive weapon, the choice of titanium seems like a needless expenditure given how low powered it is, when aluminum or even regular steel would have worked, it just seems to make the gun way more expensive than it would need to be, and it has all these points and things sticking out which would make it less than suitable for anything but a holster carry (and this is probably because it's based on an old British service revolver).

Does anyone know of a good source going over things like these which could be cited for the Criticism section? I think it'd make it seem less one-sided. 2.70.78.64 (talk) 23:08, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Nirbhik revolver[edit]

One of my Indian friends show me a Titanium made six rounds revolving handgun. But, i was surprised at the revolver was single action. This kind of quality maintained and technology applied revolver should be double action. How to improve?? If it designed for any special perpose please let me know. Gentleboyacc963 (talk) 10:14, 19 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
