Orphaned references in OGAE Second Chance Contest[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of OGAE Second Chance Contest's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Participants":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 04:53, 9 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Adding collapsible results?[edit]

Hi! I was just wondering, would it be at all possible to add the full results of each OGAE Second Chance Contest (including the Retrospectives) below each description of the corresponding year, but make it collapsible so as to not crowd the article? I am aware that each contest on its own does not meet the standards of notability, but as this is an article encompassing the whole history of the contest I think it is worth adding full results for a more complete outline of each year. I thought of this suggestion while remembering the pages of various national finals in Eurovision proper, such as Finland's UMK or Australia's Australia Decides, where the results of each final are shown. I propose we apply this format to this page, but make each table collapsible so the page doesn't get crowded. Does this seem at all feasible? Granfcanuon (talk) 02:54, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting idea. If those results should be added, they should at least not be collapsed, per MOS:DONTHIDE. I'm not per se against putting all the results on this page, but I am a bit worried that the article size would go sky high. ―Jochem van Hees (talk) 08:19, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I was not aware of the don't hide rule, thank you for bringing that to my attention! I do agree that the article size would get very big very fast if we added all the results, which wouldn't really be ideal. I do have some possible solutions to this, though. We could remove some information that would be unneeded if full results were added, most notably the table of winners. I suggest this because on the article for the Eurovision Song Contest, the winners are touched upon but there is no full table of every winner since there is a different article related to that. Another solution could be to create different articles for each decade of the contest. I am unsure if this would meet notability requirements, and it would be a bit of a hassle, but it would clear a lot of space on the main article and allow us to insert full results. The last idea I have is to simply add the results to the article in its current state, as this has been done before in other not-quite-notable contests such as the article for Liet International. This of course would make the article quite big, and is probably the least appealing option. We could also just not add the results, but that feels like a waste to me since the results of each contest exist and are readily available on websites outside of Wikipedia, which makes the article in its current state feel incomplete. If you have any other ideas, they are more than welcome. Granfcanuon (talk) 12:41, 2 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
