Fair use rationale for Image:CA9303035937.gif[edit]

Image:CA9303035937.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I feel the rationale fro use of this image is more than well explained. The description also matches all fair use criteria. The other images on this page however are still suspect.

Assessment[edit]

I am re-assessing this article on request, as C / Low. I am upping to C as it has a defined structure, some pictures, plenty of content, and some limited referencing. It however needs more references and in-line citations, and there are some WP:NPOV issues such as with the Technology and design section. The trivia section also needs merging with other sections. I am downgrading the article to Low importance as I don't think enough importance has been demonstrated for Mid importance at this time by things like alumni, awards, history e.t.c. Citation[edit]

This page needs in-line citations. The references listed at the bottom are referenced in the article with links in appropriate places. I just do not know how to make in-line citations I guess. If someone else knows how to do this, feel free. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Satchmo15 (talkcontribs) 22:23, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a free website for the school to help in rebranding. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia with guidelines that are outlined in the welcome message on your talk page. The out of date status does not provide free range to do whatever you want but does provide an opportunity for you to learn how to edit Wikipedia while improving the article. You may get assistance at the project page listed at the top of this talk page or other avenues listed in the welcome message. Cheers, Adflatusstalk 18:06, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello! I recently added a section to the notable alumni section of the Pacifica High School Wikipedia page. I noticed that my contribution hasn't been removed, which is encouraging. However, I would appreciate some guidance on how to further improve my edits and ensure they align with Wikipedia guidelines.
I've taken a close look at the project page and believe I haven't violated any guidelines. In fact, the project page mentions that school articles can often be targets for vandalism and promotional claims. My intention is to provide valuable and accurate information, particularly regarding the academies, which play a significant role in helping students shape their future careers. I believe it's important for the public to be well-informed about these opportunities.
Additionally, I added a section about Principal Chris Ramirez because I think it's essential for the public to know that he is the first Latino principal of Pacifica High School in the 21 years that Pacifica High School has been open. Given the demographic makeup of Oxnard, where a majority of residents are Hispanic, this representation is significant. Pacifica High School, being the largest school in the county and serving areas of Los Angeles County, plays a crucial role in the education system.
I'm open to any suggestions and constructive feedback on how to make these additions even better. Your assistance in enhancing the content and ensuring it adheres to Wikipedia's standards would be greatly appreciated! Rmadrigal3 (talk) 18:26, 29 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
