Interesting. If that's what happened, I'm sorry for the implication; there's an awful lot of the reverse that happens here on Wikipedia, so I just assumed that the WP version was the copy.

Was there some reason you removed the infobox as well? I specifically made those edits separately so that the text restoration could be done independently of the infobox. /blahedo (t) 03:37, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Factual error in this article

The article contains a factual error. As written, the author asserts high school students from Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola began to be bussed to Pensacola High School (PHS) in 2002. This is a false and over-reaching statement. I was a freshman and sophomore at Pensacola High from 1980 until 1982 and lived aboard NAS Pensacola. While this may not have always been the case, as the author has assumed incorrectly, students from NAS had been bussed to PHS for years prior to my attendance. When I lived on NAS Pensacola all high school students were bussed to PHS unless they attended alternative high schools via private transportation, i.e. Pensacola Catholic High School. This fact is readily verifiable either through school, school board, county records or by asking students listed on alumni related websites i.e. Classmates, Gradfinder etc . . . This is not a flame or slam. It is an attempt to correct a factual error. The author may not have been aware of this fact at the time the article was written, however, all facts should be exhaustively researched before an article is written and submitted. Please check my facts and make the necessary changes.

Riding the bus from NAS to PHS was an experience none of us are likely to forget. Because of the bussing situation many students living on PHS were not able to participate in after school activites and play for the school's athletic teams unless we had private transportation or rode a city bus home, which I did. Having kept up with friends on NAS for the next two years, while living overseas, I am aware they were still being bussed to PHS.

The author correctly assumes that the school (and County) used the students of families from NAS to bouy thier test scores.

Famous People

While the fact that Hunter Scott's history fair project had far-reaching results is impressive, I don't think he qualifies as a "famous person". Disavian 17:50, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Maybe the famous people section could be expanded to include more graduates, as I'm sure there are many stories out there of PHS alums doing things just as impressive. Disavian 17:53, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Perhaps we could change the section to a new one. For example, Escambia High's page has a separate section listing "Notable Alumni." I think that such a classification would be more appropriate than categorizing all these people as "famous people."

Excuse me, I am doing a documentary/writing a book on the history of Pensacola High School. I happen to know the dates involved, and more facts on PHS than are on this page. Kindly do not change what I alter, I know what I'm doing. Thank you,

Kuhn did not establish IB program

Kuhn was the second director of the IB program at PHS, and did not establish the program. The initial director was Donna Dunson, who led it through 1995, I believe. 64.238.118.118 15:39, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
