Why is this article talking about puny guitars, instead of mighty locomotives?[edit]

This article has incorrect content. The "phase splitter" is a rotor-electro-mechanical part of pre-WW2 american electric railroad locomotives, which converted the 11kV/25Hz single phase AC input from the overhead wire into lower voltage, 3-phase AC for use by the asynchronous traction motors.
