Screenshot.[edit]

Can someone upload a screenshot to illustrate the appearance of the application? Thanks! -- AYTK 15:02, 12 April 2015 (UTC)

@AYTK: Done. Hope that's an okay screenshot. I did my best with the licensing information and rationales. StewdioMACK Talk page 17:51, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@StewdioMACK: That's great! However I would suggest that the image be scaled down to ~800x475 and add 'low resolution used' in the minimal usage section to avoid issues. -- AYTK (talk) 18:04, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@AYTK: Done. 800 x 475, and I've updated minimal usage. StewdioMACK Talk page 18:12, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

iOS release[edit]

I was wondering if anyone could find any sources on the iOS release date for the app. Sceptre just added that it was bundled with iOS 8, but I know from using the iPhone that the app has been bundled for much longer than that; since iOS 1, I believe. Can anyone come up with a source? StewdioMACK Talk page 01:39, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I guess the question is whether the "Photos" in earlier versions of iOS is the same app as the "Photos" in newer versions; the "Photos" on my iPhone OS 3 phone (first-generation iPhone) doesn't do much other than showing photo albums - it has no obvious editing capabilities - whereas the "Photos" on our iOS 8.3 iPad has an "Edit" function to let you tweak a photo. Prior to iOS 8, it was the Camera Roll. Sceptre (talk) 22:39, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No it wasn't, it has always been called Photos. The camera roll was just a part of Photos prior to iOS 8. -Sammich28 (talk) 20:12, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The icon in iOS should be changed to the square. Anyone can do? Playspeed (talk) 03:09, 30 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Photos (Apple)Apple Photos – Per WP:NCDAB, natural disambiguation takes precedence over parenthetical disambiguation. FleetCommand (Speak your mind!) 10:30, 7 October 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. -- Dane talk 04:55, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support move per nominator.  ONR  (talk)  01:56, 8 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Apple Photos is not natural. I've never heard it, and not much use in reliable sources as far as I can tell. --В²C 00:13, 11 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - "Photos (Apple)" is too vague and can refer to any photos taken by an Apple product. Apple Photos is a better way to name it without resorting to Photos (Apple software).ZXCVBNM (TALK) 09:18, 15 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Agree that the current title is vague. Also support per WP:NCDAB which says "When there is another term or more complete name that is unambiguous, commonly used in English (even without being the most common term), and equally clear, that term is typically the best to use." AusLondonder (talk) 17:24, 16 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per nominator. Current form is vague, as others note; proposed form is clearer. ╠╣uw [talk] 19:45, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
