"Dupont" connectors[edit]

Having just discovered these square-ended 2.54mm pitch JST-RE jumper wires and multiple "...Dupont..." kits to crimp your own jumpers to match the headers on many small processor boards, I was curious about their mechanical standards. This article doesn't yet mention these by either of those names, making it difficult to locate this info if "Dupont" your starting keyword or if you're not aware of the other name. Maybe there's a reason for not using "Dupont", but maybe JST-RE could be added? Walkingstick3 (talk) 19:33, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There are numerous 2.54mm female connector families that could optionally plug into 2.54mm pin headers, or male box headers, or ... There are likely a mountain parts that pin compatible with each other. • SbmeirowTalk • 22:18, 19 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge articles[edit]

This article needs to be merged with 'Berg connector'. They are overlapping subjects, and the most common form of Berg connector (2.54 / 0.64) are identical to the DuPont style pin headers of this article. Drlegendre (talk) 17:39, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
