Verbatim quote?[edit]

While reviewing this article, my attention was drawn to the quote The artist said, "Murals are done for the people that want them, not for those who don’t. They can go around killing Chicanes when they want to, painting a mural won’t do anything.", specifically its use of Chicanes. While -e/es is my preferred gender-neutral suffix in Spanish, if it was actually in the original quote this would mark perhaps the earliest example I've ever seen of its usage (from 1978, per the cite). Does the quote actually use Chicanes in the offline source? If not, we should edit the quote to reflect the direct phrasing. signed, Rosguill talk 21:08, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing this out! It was a transcription error. I am including a link to the original article and I will change it to say "Chicanos" instead. JaneClawsten (talk) 21:18, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
