Fair use rationale for Image:Pogologo2.PNG[edit]

Image:Pogologo2.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no [[Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline|explanthis Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the imagepecific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. What[edit]

Pogo can't have started in Feb 2006, it ws there from 2003, way before Disney came to India. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 07:11, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the name of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone[edit]

I have seen that the name of Harry Potter 1 is being mentioned as Philosopher's Stone even though POGO airs the film as Sorcerer's Stone. The film was released as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in India as well along with the US. Since this article is about an Indian TV channel and this article is under wikiproject India, so I think the name should conform with the name of the movie in India. I would like other editors to respond. I am providing the official website for the Home video release for verification.

Official Home Video Website

Also, on 20:11, 16 July 2009 Jammy0002 wrote in his edit: It doesn't matter what version it airs, all articles must use the original name. And why would India air any English version anyway?

POGO airs English version because English is the official language of India along with Hindi and India has the largest number of English speakers in the world. See Guardian UK news report. In India all English films are released in English and Hindi both unlike some European and Asian countries where the films are released only in the regional language. Pogo created by Warner Bros. Entertainment?[edit]

@HappyINC: Per this edit here, you told me to "look IN the source, dumbface." The source you are referencing is this article from 2015. You are using it to support the statement that "Pogo is a cable and satellite television channel created by Warner Bros. Entertainment". I do not see anything in the source that says that Warner Bros. Entertainment created Pogo. Can you please enlighten my dumbface as to where in that source it says that Warner Bros. Entertainment created Pogo? Thank you in advance. Aoi (青い) (talk) 04:52, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Sid95Q: pinging you, just for your information, since you also disputed HappyINC's edit. Aoi (青い) (talk) 04:55, 27 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@HappyINC: We are Waiting for your reply. Sid95Q (talk) 03:56, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Look, I don’t have time to talk, because I’m busy. Alright. I’m talking about Turner’s dissolution. Turner defuncted on March 4. Following up on Cartoon Network, there was an edit war going on about this Warner Bros thing. as of now, it stopped. And it’s still going on here too. Without a source or not, it’s obvious that WB now owns. WB now owns, CN, Boomerang, Cartoonito, Tooncast, and Pogo. I thought we would be done with this edit warring already. HappyINC (💬) 04:32, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@HappyINC: As I told you before Wikipedia works on sources so you have to provide a reliable source that Warner Bros. Entertainment is now controlling Pogo and other Indian Turner channels and please Do not make personal attacks. Comment on content, not on the contributor as you did in the above mentioned link by @Aoi:. Talk pages are for this purpose only to discuss matters like Edit warring etc. We believe in discussion rather than attacking other users in edit summary please check WP:NOPERSONALATTACKS. Sid95Q (talk) 04:58, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@HappyINC: You didn't answer my question. As I stated, you insisted changing the lede statement of the article to read "Pogo is a cable and satellite television channel created by Warner Bros. Entertainment'." When I reverted you and politely said that the source did not support the statement you made, you reverted right back and told me to "look IN the source, dumbface." The source you referenced was this article from 2015. I looked in the source and I could not find anything in the article that supports your statement that Warner Bros. Entertainment created Pogo. Obviously, my dumbface can't find it. So I ask you again: Where in the source does it say that Warner Bros. Entertainment created Pogo? Aoi (青い) (talk) 10:38, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
”didn’t answer your question”?! That thing about “Pogo created by WB” is NOT what I’m talking about nor editing about. I’m editing that ever since Turner defuncted and Pogo was moved to WB. HappyINC (💬) 14:14, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

OK, do me a favor. Read the first sentence of your edit here. This is a direct quote and I've repeated it on this page three times now. You changed the first sentence of the article to say that Warner Bros. Entertainment CREATED Pogo:

Pogo is a cable and satellite television channel created by Warner Bros. Entertainment,[1] a unit of WarnerMedia for the Indian subcontinent which primarily shows animated programming and some live-action shows. It is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra.[citation needed]

That is a DIRECT quote from your edit. If you can't see it, it means you don't understand that meaning of your own edits, and you shouldn't be editing Wikipedia.

(And, beyond that, what's even worse about this edit is that the reference you were edit warring to insert didn't even come close to supporting your statement. If you can't see or admit that, it means you don't understand that verifiability, and you shouldn't be editing Wikipedia.)

Oh, and for the record, it is my sincere belief that you are running (not walking) directly into a WP:CIR block. Aoi (青い) (talk) 15:30, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

(edit conflict) As an outside observer, I find this discussion a bit frustrating. Looking at this edit, HappyINC left behind the following text: "Pogo is a cable and satellite television channel created by Warner Bros. Entertainment". @HappyINC: If you didn't mean to claim that Warner Bros. created Pogo, then you should have been more careful. What exactly did you mean to say? This doesn't seem like a big laborious issue that requires three other editors to engage you about. If you are too busy to participate in discussion, then you are too busy to edit at Wikipedia, since this is a community project and edits, especially controversial and confusing ones like this, often require discussion. So I strongly recommend you take a few breaths, take a little time to properly express yourself, and then everybody can get back to their routine. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:37, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I’m not running for anything. As I always tell you, It is frustrating when my useful edits are reverted. About that edit, I could’ve atleast say "Pogo is a cable and satellite television channel currently owned by Warner Bros. Entertainment" HappyINC (💬) 15:38, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think you're justified in feeling frustrated in this instance, since you mistakenly added language that was demonstrably not factual. I think you and the others should now figure out what phrasing is most appropriate. And considering you called someone a dumbface without noticing your mistake, I think maybe a little humbleness is warranted as you proceed with that discussion. Why are chota Bheem movies airing on the timings of the new show ekans[edit]

The channel pogo has suddenly stopped airing ekans which was originally produced in cartoon network. Instead on the timings of ekans, chota bheem movies are showing. I would request pogo to stop showing bheem movies and instead show ekans. 2405:201:8020:7815:F4CD:C49B:CA09:EA36 (talk) 13:34, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
