Saparmurat Niyazov[edit]

Important notice[edit]

The government section of the "Outline of Turkmenistan" needs to be checked, corrected, and completed -- especially the subsections for the government branches.

When the country outlines were created, temporary data (that matched most of the countries but not all) was used to speed up the process. Those countries for which the temporary data does not match must be replaced with the correct information.

Foreign policy section: better sources needed[edit]

The refs for the foreign policy section are all archived copies of pages from a self-published fan site about former President Niyazov that is no longer online. The archived home page describes it as a "private web-site dedicated to the first and life-time President of independent Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov (Turkmenbashy)". Although some of these pages, such as the UN resolution, may have been copied from reliable sources, better sources are needed.
